Auftakt der Serie “Early ElectroMIX” mit Musik von modularen Synthesizern seit den 1950er Jahren

Nach dem zweiteiligen Special über den Serge-Synthesizer präsentiert das CR 94.4 eine weitere, auf Modulisme zu findende Serie: “Early ElectroMIX” beschäftigt sich mit früher Elektronikmusik in the mix. Aktuell sind in dieser Serie an die 40, jeweils gut einstündigen Zusammenstellungen erschienen. Kuratiert wird “Early ElectroMIX” von Philippe Petit, dem Gründer und Kurator von Modulisme.
Heute und am kommenden Sonntag, dem 24.4., gibt es die ersten vier Zusammenstellungen.

Philippe Petit über “Early ElectroMIX”: “It is a series to document the history of experimental electronic music from the 50s to the 80s, composers making use of electronic instruments, test equipment, generators of synthetic signals and sounds … to analog synthesizers …
While our sessions document those who make it today, my desire is to transmit some pioneering works which paved the way to what we try to create today.
Realizing that most of those seminal recordings were not available, I decided to archive them in a contemporary way, DJing-mixing them and while most of the time running several sources together or in medleys I made sure to respect the original intent of each composer.”
